This is a 7 week summer course that will allow you to train and qualify to BASI levels 1 & 2, to be ready to work as a paid instructor the coming winter. With it being summer you get the best of both worlds: Firstly, and most importantly, over the 7 weeks we will take you through the BASI system, improving your personal skiing and develop the skills required to become a ski instructor with your BASI level 1 exam in week 2 and your BASI level 2 exam during weeks 6 and 7. Secondly, you get to enjoy the long hot sunny summer days in the Alps, where there is the opportunity for you to go hiking, mountain biking, climbing, via ferrata, rafting, canyoning, golf, horse riding etc (oh and the pizza!). The course is based in the resort of Cervinia, Italy and all the skiing will take place on the amazing snow sure 3820m Zermatt Glacier (the highest ski area in Europe). If successful on the level 2 qualification, you will become qualified to teach skiing on snow in many different countries.
Who is this course for?
Our courses are perfect for those wanting a once in a lifetime gap year pre or post university, those who want a sabbatical from work, those who want to retrain for a new career as a ski instructor, or because you simply love to ski.
